recently not only did i find out the harsh reality that of a cat fight, ive also witnessed and suffer the spillover effect of such.
usually the idea of a cat fight is attributed to two (or more) girls wrestling in mud…ya, dream on. back on track….it’s the clawing of each other’s face, or aptly in this case, 面子. usually followed by the proclamation of territory, in which case innocent people suffer for reasons ‘too complicated’ to understand.
in the case of the 21st century fight, this usually extend to external friendship which are marred by the trauma of cold wars and awkward silence. it may make situations uncomfortable to mingle around due to the unspoken rule of, well, not speaking.
a saying goes, ‘a gentleman’s sword is his pen’. for women, it should be ‘a lady’s sword is her ice-cold stare’, upon which freezes the hearts of those she glances at.
ayoh why must be so difficult. the idea of a 赤子之心 is that of an embracing heart. to look at an issue and resolve it with positivity and optimism, and then, let it go.
ah..whatever.. the ‘Ah Q Spirit’ prevails. 人人爱我 我爱人人. it takes more to accept the situation as is and sear through the iceberg to move on.
rock on people, rock on.
life’s too short to bear grudges, a recent sudden passing of someone i know reinforces that fact.
